One night bookings are always available Sunday-Thursday, and weekends January through May with the following exceptions: Any Murphys Special Event, Concert, or Holiday weekend requires a TWO (2) night minimum. Please call for one night availability between the months of June through December.
Check-in: Our schedule is set to accommodate our guests check-in at the confirmed arrival time, provided at the time of reservation, between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.. At 3 p.m., our Innkeeper will be available to provide you with a personal welcome. If you will be later than 6 p.m., please call us to make late check-in arrangements.
Check-out: No later than 11 a.m.
Children: Dunbar House is an intimate, romantic & private Inn. Please call for restrictions and arrangements.
Damages & Replacement Fees: Damage to the property, including but not limited to guest rooms, fixtures, furnishings, artwork, décor or bed linens, will result in a charge for replacement value or necessary cleaning. The cost of the damage will be charged to the credit card on file.
Dietary Restrictions/Allergies: We are happy to accommodate guests special dietary needs. Please inform innkeeper at time of booking so our cook will have time to purchase & prepare the best food options for you.
Privacy: The house and grounds are open to our guests only, ensuring the ultimate in privacy and repose.
Pets: NO pets. We do not accommodate pets, and they can not be left in your car on our property.
Smoking: For reasons of historical preservations, smoking & open candles are not allowed in the rooms, this includes Vapor/E-Cigarettes. Dunbar House has designated smoking areas available outside. A cleaning fee reflecting current industry rates will be charged without questions if smoke is detected in the room.
Cancellations: We empathize with your situations, and understand that cancellations may be beyond your control. For this reason we recommend purchasing cancellation insurance for your peace of mind. Travel insurance for a minimal fee is available through allianztravelinsurance.

The $30 non-refundable deposit guarantees that you may cancel at any time up to ten (10) days prior to your arrival. Ten (10) days prior to arrival, your remaining balance will be charged. If notice is received WITHIN ten (10) days of your scheduled arrival date, payment will be refunded only if the room is re-rented for each of the reserved nights. If you chose to not purchase Trip Insurance, you will be responsible for all monies due WITHIN the ten (10) day cancellation period.
Reducing the number of days of a stay WITHIN ten (10) days of scheduled arrival is considered the same as a cancellation, and you will be subject to the same policy as stated above. The minimum stay requirement will still apply.
Departure before the scheduled departure date will constitute a cancellation, and monies will not be refundable.
Gift Certificates: Can not be booked thru our online booking system. Please call us directly at 209-728-2897 and mention Gift Certificate at time of booking. Credit card deposit will be taken at time of booking. Ten (10) days prior to arrival, Gift Certificate will be redeemed towards the remaining balance. If you cancel WITHIN ten, (10) days of your scheduled arrival date, our cancellation policy of payment being refunded only if the room is re-rented for each of the reserved nights will apply. If your rooms are not re-rented, you will not be issued a replacement GiftCertificate.
